Let’s chat about 2024 family photo sessions
This year has been amazing for my business, but also a bit overwhelming. I cannot possibly maintain a work schedule like the one I had this year. So, I’ve spent some time analyzing things, and have determined how much work I can take on next year (while still maintaining a bit of sanity.) That number is a LOT less than I was expecting. Nearly half.
Soooo, what does that mean for you? Not a whole lot. But I am going to be saying no a lot more next year.
I have created 20 coupon codes that can be used on 2024 sessions. Once those codes are all used up, I will open the remaining 10 sessions (full price).
And that will be it for my full session calendar for next year.
I will warn you now, I booked more sessions that this during Black Friday last year. I anticipate that these sessions will go quickly.
Will I still do mini sessions next year?
Girl, of course. Again, a lot fewer mini sessions. But yes, I’ll still offer them!
I will not be offering discounts on mini session at all (since they are already discounted).
Because minis don’t include an additional discount, I won’t be including them in the Black Friday Sale. Spring and summer minis will go live the same day that my calendar opens–February 1, 2024.
I will not be offering any mini sessions at Albion Basin or the Salt Flats. If you want one of those locations, you’ll need to book a full session.
Do I need to pick a date for my session today?
Don’t worry! Your Black Friday booking guarantees you a session next year. However, you can’t pick a date until January 31, 2024. The day before my calendar opens to the general public. At that point, we’ll chat via text, and pick your location and date.
Early access to my calendar was the only way to get on my books at my most popular locations and on the best dates.
The date can be adjusted if needed, so don’t stress it. I totally get that things come up! I do need at least a 1 week warning, but there is no rescheduling penalty!
Is it worth booking a full session when I have little kids?
Yes. Let me tell you why.
The only foolproof way to get those genuine, documentary-style images? The unposed images of everyone interacting? The images where you can feel something just by looking at them?
A full length session. Minis are so nice because they are so quick. Perfect for getting shots of everyone smiling at the camera and looking cute.
But I need to be able to 1-observe your family and 2-build up from trust/friendship with your kids in order to get the shots that really represent YOU. And that’s only possible with time.
Don’t worry, I’m good at keeping even your busiest little ones entertained and engaged. We’ll play games, snuggle, tickle, tell jokes. It’s a really beautiful chance to actually pause and just enjoy your beautiful family.
