Hey friends!
I’ve got some bad news. As of yesterday, Albion Basin is still has a bunch of snow, and the road is still going to be closed until the end of July.
The hill circled in red is Catherine’s Pass, the hill we shoot on up there. Still so much snow! And the gates are closed, so we can’t even get up there.
So, you have 2 options:
1-Same location, change the date
2-Same date, different location
Option 1:
Due to the location opening so late (aka, the snow taking so long to melt), I anticipate we’ll have flowers until at least the 3rd week of August.
This is my current availability for August. If you decide to switch your date to one of these, shoot me a text and let me know which date/dates work best for you. They’ll be changed first come first serve, so have a backup date in mind, just in case. My phone number is 801-362-1889.
Dates marked in yellow are available in the morning. 7:30 am. I do realize how early this is, and how hard it can be to get everyone ready that early. But, this location is SO busy normally, and a morning session is significantly more private. Plus, this location has spectacular lighting in the morning! And, 99% of the time, kids are more cheerful in the morning.
Dates marked in green are available in the evening. 6:45 pm.
Option 2:
If you’d prefer to keep your date, and switch locations, I have a few really great options for you!
These locations will all be around the same start time, and I’ll send you the exact coordinates once you’ve decided.

Purple Flower Mountainside:
I LOVE this location, and it photographs so beautifully! This spot has a kind of similar feel to Albion, with it’s scenic views and wild flowers. I could shoot here every day, it’s so stunning! This location is in Utah County.
Provo Canyon Meadow & Views
This location has been a top pick for me this year. The location requires a little walking, but there is a beautiful open meadow (it’s had flowers the last few weeks, but I’m not sure how long they’ll last.) There is also a spot we can go up to that has panoramic views of Utah Valley. It’s a really special location! This location is in Provo Canyon.
Sundance Mountain Views
This location is really cool. Lots of aspen trees and pines, plus a beautiful mountain backdrop! This location is near Sundance Ski Resort.
Mt Timp Hiking Trail
This location just opened for the summer, and it was one of my top locations last fall. This spot is similar to the location above, but more mountains and pines. I LOVE this location, and I’m sure you will too! This location is in AF Canyon.
